Metal Closures
Metal closures typically refer to the tinplate lids and bottoms used in custom paper tubes.

Why Metal Closures?
Metal closures offer several advantages:
1. Airtight Seal. Tinplate closures provide an excellent airtight seal for your tube packaging, which is very important for food packaging.
2. Food Safe. Tinplate lids are food-grade, ensuring they are safe for direct contact with food.
3. High-End Appearance. Compared to cardboard or plastic closures, tubes with metal closures have a more premium look, enhancing your brand image.
4. Durable. Metal closures are stronger and more rigid than cardboard closures or plastic closures.
If you need additional airtightness, moisture resistance, or packaging strength without using plastic closures, consider metal lids and bottoms as a viable option.
Why Not Metal Closures?
While metal closures have their advantages, there are also several disadvantages to take into account:
1. Limited flexibility. The available sizes of tinplate closures are restricted, which means you may not find a closure that fits your required tube size.
2. Higher costs. The tooling required to produce new tinplate lids and bottoms is quite expensive, and the minimum order quantity (MOQ) is considerably higher.
Applications of Metal Closures

• Nutritional supplements (such as protein powder)
• Tea packaging (including loose leaf and herbal tea)
• Coffee packaging (including ground coffee and coffee beans)
